In this half-hour long YouTube video produced by the U.S. Department of Defense, General Keith Alexander talks about the NSA, how they saved lives, and how NSA workers should be considered as "heroes." But what else would you expect the director of the National Security Agency to say, right?
Another reason this video is going viral has to do with the disparaging remarks he made about former defense contractor Edward Snowden. Even though he didn't name Snowden, it's obvious who he's referring to when he says that the leaks will likely cost lives.
According to the video description, the aim was to "get the story straight" after documents on NSA's foreign intelligence and cybersecurity programs were leaked by Snowden into the public eye. But the Internet doesn't seem to be buying
into the General's argument, and the video has already received more than 15,000 down votes since being uploaded on Thursday.
