A man in Fuzhou, China, had successfully had a new nose grown for him... on his forehead.
The man, named Xiaolian, had neglected an injury to his nose following a traffic accident that happened a year ago. Doctors were left with little choice but to grow a new nose to replace the damaged one.
According to Reuters, the nose was grown by placing a skin tissue expander onto Xiaolian's forehead, cutting into the shape of a nose and planting a cartilage that was taken from his ribs. The doctors say the nose is in good shape and the surgery to transplant it should take place soon.
