Created by Chicago-based comedian Joe Avella, Delivery Dudes follows the perilous lives of pizzeria employees. Based on the 22-minute pilot below, this includes everything from a robbery at gunpoint, a pizza thief and even a short-lived hip hop career.



And you'd never guess that the whole project was shot without  a full-size production crew and major network. Avella told Mashable:
"I needed something that was easy to shoot and didn’t cost money,"

"I had available to me: My car, my friends and their apartments. Pizza delivery kind of popped up. It was perfect because the cast could be different for each one and we could film it in their doorways."
