Compact fluorescent bulbs are more energy efficient than their incandescent counterparts but a sad fact remains: they are ugly. So Guus Oosterbaans is trying to make them less of an eyesore to everyone.
His DIY approach involves cutting out a series of butterfly shapes from transparent tinted acetate and attaching them to the bulb. What do you think? If you don't have a lamp to hide the bulb we suppose it makes pretty for the eyes. [Findings of Guus Oosterbaan via Notcot]
