It used to be such an awesome girly thing to do; to talk about our love lives with our equally-infatuated BFFs and everyone else. But then people grow up. You're no longer a teenager, and nobody really wants to hear about your ex if you're talking about him ALL the damn time.
some 50 percent of U.S. adults said that they have dodged a friend or family member who talks incessantly about his or her relationship problems.

Among the younger participants, 25-34-year-olds, 64 percent have admitted to steering clear of a pal for this reason.

"Friends can be great resources when it comes to dating advice, but at a certain point, they can get tired of hearing about your issues and just tell you what you want to hear rather than give you the advice you really need," said Jennifer Kelman, a life coach with professional services website Pearl.com, who conducted the survey of 1,000 adults.
