Industry awards look great on a display shelf, and the stamps of approval add a little something to the packaging. But when you're dealing in nutrition, they mean a little more than some simple trinket for the mantel.

In the field of nutrition, an award means that you are delivering on your promises, it means that you are improving the communities in which you operate, and it means that your employees and customers are happy. You don't run an ethical, sustainable, socially responsible business just for the awards, but the awards show the trust that certain institutions and organizations have placed in your brand, and that means quite a bit.

In 2020, Herbalife was awarded a long list of accolades around the world, including:

Thailand's Healthier Choice Logo
In Thailand, the Healthier Choice logo is a stamp of approval, appearing on the packaging of select products that pass the high standards set by the Thai Food and Drugs Administration, working under the Ministry of Public Health, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, the Institute of Nutrition at Mahidol University, and the Thai National Food Committee. For 2020, this logo was stamped onto Herbalife Formula 1.

Germany's Healthy Living Award
In Germany, one of the top magazine publishers is DoldeMedien Verlag. Like many magazine publishers, they hand out awards at the end of the year. But these awards are not determined simply by a team of magazine writers and editors. Rather, the publisher enlists a team of PhDs, nutritionists, personal trainers, chefs, and sports journalists to help decide which products are most deserving of the Healthy Living Award. In 2020, the panel of judges awarded this accolade to Herbalife's H24 Strength Rebuilder.

The Five-Star Quality Medal
The Quality Medal, or QUDAL, is an award given by the International Certification Association. The QUDAL recipient is determined through surveys conducted in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Whereas other awards may represent the approval of industry professionals, editors, and government officials, the QUDAL points directly to customer approval. In 2020, the Five-Star QUDAL for "best meal replacement product" went to Herbalife's Formula 1, with around 1,200 votes.

China's CAQI Awards
China's Association of Quality Inspection, the country's leading product quality organization, is a national non-profit made up of several inspection experts and institutes. The association is supervised by China's State Administration of Market Regulation. So this is not simply some online magazine, but a government-regulated quality inspection organization in a country that takes that sort of thing very seriously. And they awarded Herbalife no fewer than four awards in 2020:

National Award for Enterprises Demonstrating Quality and Integrity in Products and Services
National Award for Consistent Production of Qualified Products Based on Quality Inspection
National Award for Leading Enterprise on Quality and Integrity
National Award for the Leading Quality Brand in Health Foods Industry.

Mexico's Corporate Social Responsibility Award
Mexico's Corporate Social Responsibility Award is awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (CEMEFI and AliaRSE, respectively). While many of th
