Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's TED talk in London on why "we should all be feminists," was sampled on Beyonce's surprise album's 11th track “***Flawless.” A full paragraph of Adichie’s talk can be heard, her message integral to the song’s own.
Getting sampled on a Bey track is super great for anyone, and it's particularly awesome when you have a book to promote.
Adichie’s third novel, "Americanah," came out earlier this year. According to Amazon, "Americanah" ranked #861 of all hardcover books, a day before Beyonce's album was released. Five days later, the book ranked at #632. today it's ranked #179.
