Facebook has just upped the game and joined the world of GIFs and made that available as an option for your profile picture now. Now you can make your profile picture move. It's that awesome!
Facebook will enable users to upload animated GIFs as their profile pictures.
The update rolls out today, and there's also clearer mobile navigation, temporary profile pictures, pinned photos, and easier profile visibility.
If you don't know how to make a GIF, then you can take a 7-second video that Facebook will automatically convert into a GIF.
As for the temporary profile picture option, you can select a photo to be your profile pic for a set amount of time before reverting to your default.
Facebook's mobile profile view is also getting an overhaul. You can now post a short bio, along with rearranged photos and friends placement.
