As if the device couldn't get any creepier or more intrusive. According to a newly published patent, Google Glass may be equipped with a gaze-tracking head-mounted device that will measure how users feel when looking at ads.

This gaze-tracking system proposed by the Mountain View would monitor the pupils of those wearing a head-mounted device to infer emotion and track what advertisements they're looking at.  Simply put, any pupil dilation will then be captured by eye-tracking cameras before the information is relayed to a separate server.

So why do this in the first place? The idea is to charge advertisers by using a "pay-per-gaze metric" of when users view these ads which could be online, on billboards, magazines, newspapers, and other types of media. For more info, head over to Fast.Co
