Here's a flying car concept called the ESTOLAS. It is being developed by the European Commission. Short for Extremely Short Take Off and Landing on Any Surface, it combines elements of a traditional airplane, a hovercraft, a helicopter and a blimp. ESTOLAS will be capable of landing on any flat surface, including water and snow.

Made of lightweight composites and filled with helium, it will be capable of near-vertical take-offs while sustaining incredibly efficient fuel consumption rates. It can also haul heavier loads further too.

The idea behind the ESTOLAS project is to provide aid to disaster zones when traditional aircraft could not.
