Is bigger better? The folks at French startup Optinvent think a small AR screen hovering at the side of your vision doesn't do any justice. Which is why they are developing the ORA-S. The augmented reality glass will sport a screen three times larger than the one used by Glass.

ORA-S has a bigger, and brighter and higher resolution screen positioned in your field of view. The sizable screen snaps back out of your field of vision when you don't need it.

The screen is currently connected to a module the size of a cigarette lighter. But that will disappear by the time ORA-S hits the market. The consumer version will be half the thickness of the current model.

While this year's developer version of the ORA-S is selling for $950, by next year Optinvent hopes to reduce that price to $300.
