Anyone who has ever worked in the telemarketing business no doubt knows just how tedious the job can really be.

An average work day usually means cold calling random people in order to sell a product that you'll probably never use yourself. If you don't hit a quota, you don't get paid.

And now, it seems that companies have started using actual robots in order to get the job done.

This was discovered by reporters over at TIME, who stumbled upon a telemarketing robot that was designed so well that it actually knows how to lie and tell people it's a real person:
