It will be a while more before Samsung launches a successor to its Galaxy S4 smartphone, but rumors for the S5 are now starting to leak. The latest suggests the phone may have a Quad HD screen as well as fingerprint and eye scanners.

The latest report comes from ZDNet Korea, which states Samsung is preparing to put Quad HD (QHD) and iris verification technology into its 2014 smartphones. As for screen, we imagine Samsung to continue its line of oversized screens.

BGR's report agrees and states that Samsung plans to release a standard plastic body variant of the S5 as well as a higher end metal version. The next phone is expected to have a 64 bit processor, 3GB of RAM and a huge 4,000 mAh battery.

It will also reportedly have both fingerprint sensors and iris scanners for security. Samsung has already integrated eye-tracking tech in the S4, so it wouldn't be a surprise if they made the jump to apply it for security too.

ZDNet Korea adds that Samsung will unveil the phone at Mobile World Congress 2014.
