A recent update to the developer version of Google Chrome shows it is running Chrome OS inside of Windows 8.

The new feature, dug up by The Verge, shows that it allows the "Metro" interface for Chrome to turn into its own multi-windowed mini desktop.

The functionality is still buggy for now, and it requires the browser to have its real roots in the desktop.

It looks like Google will make it even easier for people to rely on its apps and services—and even the interface and style of its own OS.
