When there are many ways to reduce your weight, why take the one that's long and tedious. Sometimes there are much shorter ways to achieving your dream of losing those extra pounds and be able to dress up like a diva. Wondering what this is all about?

Well, without much further ado let me reveal the new hcg diet. It is just as though by magic! Although what better magician is there than science itself! Now the question arises, what is this HCG diet? Does this really work or is it just another new thing in the market which is already swarming with weight loss products and techniques and what not.

Let me put your mind at rest. Here is all that you need to know about HCG diet and how it works.

When and how did it start?

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin or hCG is basically a hormone which is found in large amounts in the placenta of a pregnant woman. It can be extracted from the urine of the pregnant woman.

A British doctor Dr. Simeons has been the pioneer in using the hCG hormone for weight loss (Source). It was in the 1950’s that this wonderful discovery was made, when Dr. Simeons used the hCG hormones to treat growing boys having low levels of testosterone. He found that the boys started to lose fat and began to look much slim and trim. This hCG hormone along with proper prescribed diet can really do wonders for an obese patient who also does adequate amount of exercise as well.

Why was it buried under all these many years?

After the initial research of Dr. Simeons, many other medical practitioners and health care professionals were interested in his work. However the hCG weight loss plan lost wind to its sail for some time due to various factors like FDA not approving it and other doctors who relentlessly opposed and attacked this idea till it lost its strength.

Thankful comeback of the hCG therapy!

Thanks to Kevin Trudeau and his book, the interest in Besthcgdropswebsite's recipes and foods started to re-emerge. This book was published and released for the common benefit of the obese population in the year 2007.

How does this work?

Basically the hCG hormone positively affects the hypothalamus gland which is partly responsible for the regulation of normal and abnormal body fat. So when a patient is administered the right amount of hCG along with the proper hCG diet, weight loss targets are achieved in a much shorter amount of time. The patients are advised to stick to the hCG diet plan as it is very essential in maintaining the overall well being. Without the proper hCG recipes plan, it may take much more time to reduce weight. Therefore it is important to understand the hCG diet.

What is the hCG diet?

The basic plan suggested by Dr. Simeons is as follows:
A very low calorie diet which limits calorie intake to 500 per day.
Injections of hCG hormone which has been properly administered.
The fun part is that the hCG hormone doesn’t make you feel hungry thereby checking the calorie intake by itself. You won’t have to feel the cravings that you otherwise feel for yummy food as you just won’t be having the any appetite for all the junk food.

Also, you only lose your fat and not the muscles, which is the case with most of the other diet plans. There are also many claims that the diet also helps in boosting the metabolism by elevating other good hormones that further promote the overall growth of the body.

The phases of hcg diet.

There are three HCG phases divided as follows:

Loading phase: this is a fun phase as you get to eat lots of fatty food since a high calorie diet is advised. This phase lasts for two days where your body gets to gear up for the next step. Along with this, one has to start taking hCG drops. Make sure to go through this guide on buying hcg drops without falling in prey.

Weight loss phase: as the name itself suggests, all the action starts now. One continues to take the hCG, however the diet becomes restrictive where you can only eat up to 500 calories per day. This phase is longer than the first phase, starting from 3 weeks and can last for up to 6 weeks. For people who have less weight to lose, the recommended time for weight loss phase is 3 weeks. For those who have a few more kilos to shed, they need to stick to this phase for another 3 weeks more. People, who still haven’t lost substantial amount of weight, can repeat the weight loss phase many times along with the other two recommended phases.

The meals are to be had only twice a day namely the lunch and the dinner.

Maintenance phase: Here one has to bid goodbye to hCG and stop taking it. The food intake can be gradually increased. There are certain things that are still not on the list such as starch and sugar. It is advised to avoid them for another 3 weeks.

The hCG foods.

Wondering what all can you eat which are within 500 calories? The hCG foods that you can have are, a piece of bread, very little amount of meat that is non fatty to which you can add any one vegetable of your choice. You can vary the type of meat, bread and vegetable to make it interesting. Fruits can become a wonderful dessert, just have them chilled.

Most importantly have lots of water, mineral or normal, whichever you have. Relaxing over a few cups of green tea is also a very good idea which can augment your weight loss all the more. Just remember to avoid sweetening your cup of tea or coffee. And you are all set to achieving a new you!

Just a quick look at some interesting hCG recipes:
