This Atomic Clock Wristwatch Loses Only One Second Every Thousand Years

How accurate is your watch? This atomic wrist watch is so accurate, you won't be able to use any of your 'late excuses' anymore.
The watch is a prototype, but it is an actual atomic clock that you can strap to your wrist. It'll guarantee accurate time for as long as you live. In fact it'll guarantee that for at least a millennium.
Called Cesium 133, it is powered by a $1,500 chip called the SA.45s CSAC (chip scale atomic clock) and it contains cesium gas, a laser, and a photodiode detector.
The only problem? It's bulky and hideous. Still, Bathys Hawaii have opted for a traditional analog watch face and they are working to refine the watch for a 2014 release.

The final version will apparently have a smaller carbon fiber case and a series of LED status lights for monitoring the power. Needless to say, it'll also be expensive and estimated to cost around $12,000.
