IU’s new Japanese single “Monday Afternoon” lands #9 on Oricon

IU’s new Japanese single has placed within the top ten of Oricon’s music. According to Oricon’s website, IU’s third Japanese single “Monday Afternoon” ranked in at the No.9 spot on its Daily Single chart after going on sale in Japan on September 11. The title song, “Monday Afternoon” is a song of a woman who developed a crush. The song was produced by legendary producers HIRO and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis who collaborated on IU’s first Japanese mini-album. Meanwhile, IU is gearing up for a comeback in Korea next month.
