Yoon-G moved to San Fernando Valley, California, the USA in 4th grade, and studied at UCLA, graduating with a Bachelor's in Communication. Yoon-G is a cousin of KARA's member Kang Jiyoung, and has a younger brother. She moved back to South Korea to pursue her dream of becoming a singer, joining DSP Media as a trainee, before debuting with JTM Entertainment with single "Meori Apa".
NS Yoon G was also known as a beautiful host of Arirang's Pops in Seoul and 'Kpop Tasty road show' with UKISS's member, Eli.
