2PM & Jaebum, they're going separate ways... but sharing popularity?
Six member group 2PM and 2PM's former member Jaebum have amazing popularity. 2PM debuted as a 7 member group but began walking separate ways when Jaebum announced his withdrawal last year due to a series of Myspace comments. A 7 member 2PM became 6 members and Jaebum left for Seattle, America. Nine months later, Jaebum has returned.
However, both 2PM and Jaebum are showing outstanding popularity within their own grounds.
2PM has ranked in at #1 in the most number of concert tickets reserved for their upcoming concert on the 31st and August 1st at Olympic Park. 2PM was able to rank in at #1 on both the daily, weekly, and monthly chart for ticket reservations. Not only their Seoul concert, though, their Busan concert has been achieving similar results, showing that 2PM is receiving hot interest.
Jaebum's popularity is no different. Jaebum's first solo mini album, 'Count On Me,' ranked in at #9 for yearly album sales within 2 days. According to album sales research chart Hanteo, 'Count On Me' sold 25,984 within 2 days of its release, ranking in at #9 for the first half of 2010.
Jaebum's international tour/fan meeting is also receiving the hot interest of his fans. Jaebum's first fan meeting announcement received 2,000 hits within an hour of its release, reaching 12,000 by the end of the day, a new record for any artist.
Although 2PM and their former member Jaebum are now headed separate ways, it seems as if their popularity is walking down the same path.
