Reading outdoors is absolutely relaxing - if the weather is pleasant. But what if you had a garden library to make reading outside more convenient? This beautiful refuge was envisioned and implemented by Mjölk architekti in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
The architects worked with a budget of €4500 to build this intriguing dwelling of wood and plywood, using the bookcase as a supporting “backbone”. The first level hosts the reading room and fireplace, while the second floor accommodates sleeping areas.
But the most appealing feature of the Garden Library is probably its open roof to allow guests to use the building as an observatory.
