Check out the 16 second teaser for Disney's upcoming animated TV series - Star Wars Rebels. While it doesn't reveal much, you'll get an idea of the basic plot outline for the series.
It starts with a Star Destroyer passing overhead, and has the same kind of opening from the original Star Wars movie. Then a youthful voice says: "To battle the Empire, a Rebel Alliance will form, the Jedi will rise, and you will know the power of the Force."
The series will take place between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, which is a span of 19 years.
Disney announced the show in May and only debuted the trailer on Monday night. It will begin in fall 2014 with a one-hour special on the Disney Channel before moving to its permanent home, Disney XD.
It’s hard to find a person who didn’t like 2012’s Dredd, a film that stands alongside RoboCop as the ultra-violent, dystopic film fans needed at the time, but a sequel to the movie hasn’t been forthcoming; in fact, over the past few years, the likelihood of a second outing for Olivia Thirlby and Karl Urban’s chin has hovered around zero.
