Wallace Souza Boosted TV Ratings By Killing People

Wallace Souza wanted more ratings. He was charged earlier this month with ordering his bodyguard to kill people to boost ratings for his crime-themed reality show. Canal Livre.
Some of the episodes have Souza in it with him discovering bodies of murdered drug lords in the jungles outside his home city of Manaus. They somehow, always manage to stumble upon the remains of a dead man.
Last year, his bodyguard was arrested for the murders of five men, whom he claimed Souza had ordered him to kill so that they could "discover" them on the show.
Although Netflix contends that the service is intended to be only a complement to cable TV programming, it is undeniable that the two media competes fiercely for the same public. After all, anyone who can spend money on a paid television system is also usually willing to invest in a broadband connection. In this scenario, the streaming service appears as an increasing threat to channels that provide exclusive content for payment.
