Beijing designer Zhijun Wang lends his unique pyrography skills to come up with a new sneaker iteration in honor of the Dragon Boat Festival. Utilizing the New Balance HS77, the shoe receives a primarily blue colorway representing the “Blue Dragon” hue that reflects the Dragon Boat’s hull. A dragon scale print can be seen along the exterior toe box and inner “N”, while wind and waves envelope the rear heel. The shoe is not officially for sale, bit serves to highlight both New Balance and Zhijun Wang’s dedication to promote various Chinese elements with the sneaker culture.
