It's stories like these that makes us think that fining people for texting while driving might not be such a bad idea after all.
An Alabama college student named Chance Both has reportedly spent the last six months recovering at the hospital after driving off a cliff. As for why he didn't see the cliff, turns out he had been texting while driving. And he has finally recovered enough to reveal what really happened on that fateful day.
According to WLBT-TV, shortly before his truck went over a cliff, Both had texted the following to a friend, “I need to quit texting, because I could die in a car accident.” No word on how high that cliff was, but it must have been pretty high since Both suffered a broken neck, a crushed face, a fractured skull and traumatic brain injuries, and had to be brought back to life three times by doctors. Still, cool (albeit ironic) story bro!
