Augmented reality is the way of the future, but one guy has decided to use the technology to go on a real-world date with his virtual significant other:
This clip posted by YouTube user Alsionesvx out on a date with the virtual popstar Hatsune Miku. To capture the event, Alsionesvx combined an Xtion PRO (a Kinect-like motion sensor) and a pair of video goggles. But what's really interesting is how Miku moves around and seems to even react to his "touch."
There's just something creepy about watching a grown man being affectionate with something that's not even real. Hackaday has a bit more information on how Alsionesvx brought his Miku girlfriend into augmented reality.
