Sounds Safe: This Hydrogen-Powered Car Is Made Of Carboard (Video)

Students from Aston University cooked up this little project described as an "IKEA style car which could be assembled by slotting the panels together." Too bad they skimped on the looks department.
This wacky entry was spotted at this year's Shell Eco-marathon, an annual event where students from across the globe get to compete against each other to design vehicles that will go as far as possible utilizing one liter of fuel (about a quarter of one gallon).
Despite the unfortunate looks, Aston Team's design walked away with this year's Eco-Design Award for their hydrogen-powered wooden car. Underneath all that ugly cardboard and plywood is a Nexa Ballard Hydrogen Fuel Cell. Hit play on the clip below to learn more:
