Chef Alton Brown of America's Test Kitchen shares this quick tip for grinding pepper using those fancy pepper grinders. Instead of straining your wrists, just grab a cordless drill with an adjustable bit holder and attach in to the inside of the grinder. Turn it on its lowest setting while holding the grinder with one hand and squeezing the trigger with the other. Instant pepper pulverization!
Some might consider this overkill for just a dash of pepper, but it'll definitely come in handy and save up time if you're dealing with a grill full of steaks or a large pot of soup or stew.
