The fast-food chain has revealed it will build the world's biggest restaurant in London’s Olympic Park as a way to celebrate the world's greatest athletes competing against each other in the 2012 Olympic games.

Despite rampant criticism of the juxtaposition of fast food and world-class athletes, an Olympic Committee spokesman defended the move by saying:
“Without our partners such as McDonald’s, the games simply wouldn’t happen.”
Hmm, did they have McDonald's in Ancient Greece? Nevertheless, it's quite an exclusive deal for McD's since no other brand name food will be allowed to sell in the Olympic Village.
