Poor Bernard Tomic. Not only did he lose to David Ferrer at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami on Saturday, but it also happened to occur in front of his harshest critic: his father and coach, John Tomic:
During the match, the 19-year-old went so far as to ask chair umpire Cedric Mourier if his dad could get kicked out from the stands. Tomic Sr. should definitely not expect a nice little card for Father's Day this year:
"He's annoying me," Tomic said. "I know he’s my father, but he’s annoying me. I want him to leave, but how is that possible?"
When Mourier asked Tomic what would happen if he told his father to leave, he simply said that it wouldn't happen.
"If you see him, tell him to be quiet," Tomic said.
