French President Greeted By Angry Mob, Seeks Refuge In A Bar (Video)

The incident happened whilst French President Nicolas Sarkozy had been campaigning in the Basque town of Bayonne. Instead of a red carpet, he was met by hundreds of angry protesters who shouted boos and threw eggs at him. Carla Bruni's husband was then forced to seek refuge in a bar after the crowd grew increasingly hostile, the BBC reports.
