CNN's Nic Robertson was documenting the plants growing just outside the Al-Qaeda leader's compound when he stumbled upon a surprising discovery; plots of marijuana plants growing alongside cabbages and potatoes (3:30 mark):
The Daily Telegraph has also highlighted on the "small plots of marijuana growing in the deserted lots on the compound's perimeter," describing it as "wild cannabis" that gives the area "a pleasant fragrance in the hot early summer air." While it's not uncommon for the weed to just be growing in parts of Pakistan, we can't imagine Osama toking it up at home.
