Facebook is now testing a new featured called "Buy with Friends". Its basically Groupon like but in Facebook. It'll allow users to get discounts on virtual goods purchased by their friends.

A user makes an in app purchase using Facebook Credits, adn shares it in his or her newsfeed. When a fried see the purchase, they can buy the same item at a discount in the newsfeed.

During early tests, Facebook's head of commerce product marketing Deb Liu said that more than half of users shared their purchases with their friends.

Its still restricted to virtual goods at the moment, but we see a potential of this growing into Groupon's space. Could Groupon survive if this were to come to fruition?
