China's Jin Songhao has just endured a freezing-cold ice bath for two hours in a quest to set a new world record for "direct, full-body contact with ice" (who knew such titles existed?) Jin was accompanied by Current Guinness World Record holder Chen Kecai of China, who competed in Monday's contest in China's Hunan province:
According to Global Times, Jin lasted a full 120 minutes in a plastic box filled with ice cubes. But Guinness World Records officials in New York City can't confirm the record unless they get hold of documentation of the 54-year-old's world record attempt. Another contestant, Dutch citizen Wim Hof, reportedly managed to stay in an icy bath for 115 minutes during a separate event held in Hong Kong earlier this week.
