Eating Dessert for Breakfast Can Help You Lose Weight

If only we found out about this earlier. Chocolate cake for breakfast sure sounds nice. Scientists are saying that combining a low calorie diet which includes dessert for breakfast will help you lose weight. That means eating cookies, creme brulee and all of that, will help you lose weight if you start your day like that.
According to the study, scientists put 144 obese people on a low carb, low calorie diet (1,400 calories for women and 1,600 calories for men) and they were exactly identical except that one of them included a "high carbohydrate, protein enriched breakfast with a choice of cookies, chocolate, cake or ice cream for dessert".
At the first 16 week period, the average weight loss was about the same, and both groups had lost 32 pounds on average. After the 16 week, people with the dessert for breakfast diet lost 13 more pounds, and the group that didn't gained back all they lost but 3.5 pounds on average. Is dessert the secret to weight loss?
