While the whole world continues to debate on the gay marriage issue, one woman has decided to break away from the pack by undergoing a controversial wedding ceremony, in which she gets married to herself.



Nadine shares her story on the Anderson Cooper show about going through a painful divorce and learning how to enjoy her own company again. The ceremony was a way to celebrate how far the 36-year-old has come, and included 40 guests watching on as she married herself. She even says she received wedding gifts:
