Will the future involve the driver of the car relaxing while the car does all the real driving? Like Google, Ford and Volvo, BMW is now trying their hands at hands free driving. Their first self autonomous driving system uses four types of sensors, radars, cameras and laser scanners as well as ultrasound distance sensors and can change lanes to zoom past slower cars.

The future really is here. BMW has created special algorithms to handle every situation and uses the car's position in pre mapped highways to navigate the location of other cars to avoid. Here it is driving on the Autobahn. Check it out after the jump.
