Mercedes-Benz brought its own version of the future of interiors to CES 2012. There's augmented reality, with a customizable dashboard and gesture based controls. The video after the jump will show how the Dynamics & Intuitive Control Experience works. Or DICE.

There's basic elements like proximity sensors that detect hand motions across the interior, and you can scroll and select and control a variety of functions.  You'll be able to get information about businesses and the sights aruond you, and connect with friends nearby, control your music and navigation.

Mercedes is just showing this off as what the future would look like, but one exec has admitted that production of it would probably be 20 years later.
