Just because it has the word 'muffins' in it doesn't necessarily mean you can't use it for something else. If you've made your own stock before, you probably already know that freezing helps it to keep for much longer.

But what if you need a lot of stock? Instead of using ice cube trays, use non-stick muffin tins to make huge frozen stock cubes. Once they're frozen, simply pop the cubes out and place them into a freezer bag for storage.

This tip is great if your making own stock out of leftover veggies, herbs, or the bones of the Thanksgiving turkey. That way, you can always be sure you have enough stock for soups, rice, or other dishes.
