Research shows daily love-making boosts the quality of a man's sperm and its ability to move, potentially helping couples who want to become parents.

The Australian researchers believe all couples trying for a baby would benefit from having daily sex in the week leading up to ovulation.

In the study, 118 men diagnosed with DNA damage to their sperm were advised to have sex every day for a week. All of them had fertility problems, or their partner previously had several failed attempts at IVF or miscarriages.

After following the advise, the level of damage fell by 26 percent, while sperm levels remained relatively high and the sperm swam better.
