How To Remove Hazelnut Skin By Boiling Them In Water With Baking Soda (Video)

It's always a pain to peel hazelnuts. To make it easier to peel, boil them in water with three tablespoons of baking soda. According to weblog My Baking Addiction, this tip comes from an old clip of Julia Child's cooking show and showed that after boiling them in water for three minutes, the water will become black. Drain it and then rinse the hazelnuts with cold water. This should make the skin come off easily.
