Meet Jess Thom, who is one of the 10 percent of people with Tourette’s syndrome who also have 'coprolalia,' which makes her involuntarily blurt out curse words. Instead of shying away from society, she wants to “change the world, one tic at a
time.” Fry's Planet World has a fascinating clip on this inspiring and funny woman:
Jess explains that her tics cause her to utter brilliant, hilarious and obscene phrases which include combinations of "fuck" and "biscuit". She’s even started collecting them on her website, which also includes fan-submitted illustrations of some of the more colorful phrases.
Jess has also since adopted a superhero alter ego she calls "Tourettes Hero," who attends speaking engagements and classroom visits to help
educate people about an often-misunderstood condition.
