Though anyone of any age can suffer from sleep problems, women are 1.4 times more likely to report insomnia than men.
This statistic was revealed during a briefing hosted by the Society for Women's Health Research, citing hormonal changes during pregnancy as well as increase in restless leg syndrome as the common reasons behind these irritating sleep patterns. The NSF recommends that people suffering from insomnia get themselves
back on a regular sleep schedule, exercise, and avoid beverages like coffee and alcohol.
