Kourtney Kardashian told People that she's going ahead with her pregnancy, after her doctor and her boyfriend encouraged her to do so.

That sounds pretty noble for a girl who got knocked up, but Jezebel says that Kardashian's decision was technically not her own, because both her doctor and boyfriend "pressured" her into keeping the baby.

The reality TV star says "it was her decision - and hers alone - that was the most important," but also reports, "My doctor told me there is nothing you will ever regret about having the baby, but he was like, 'You may regret not having the baby.' And I was like: That is so true."

She also says of her boyfriend Scott Disick's reaction: "I got so excited, and when I told Scott he was so excited. But I think if I had said I'm not going to keep it, I really think he would have pushed me into keeping it."

True, it isn't really her doctor's place to tell her what she will and won't regret, and even if she'd made up her mind to abort the child, Scott would've set her straight. It's uncertain whether she will actually have a happy life as a mother. But the fact that Kardashian seeked the doctor's advice in the first place shows how uncertain she was about her own decisions - therefore all these reinforcements made her confident to make up her mind.

She could've easily stood up for herself - she could've easily just not seeked advice from anybody. The doctor's advice and boyfriend's reaction cannot be to blame for what she chose to do with her own body because, at the end of the day, it's all up to her anyway.

Kardashian says: "For me, all the reasons why I wouldn't keep the baby were so selfish: It wasn't like I was raped, it's not like I'm 16." Jezebel says Kardashian was inappropriately influences by other people in her life.

But really, what Kardashian says is true. She does have a well enough life to support a child, and it wouldn't put her future in total jeopardy. You could even say she's making a responsible decision. On the accounts she considered to make her decision, it's safe to say that she isn't entirely wrong in saying it was "hers alone." Besides, the doctor and the boyfriend were just trying to save an innocent life.
