The girlfriends of the two men who were swept out to sea said they heard them shouting for help more than an hour after they disappeared.

Dave Ellams and Lee Thompkins, both 34, got swept out while trying to swim to an orange buoy on Tuesday night in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.

Their girlfriends, Aimee Crisp and Emma Flinders said they screamed for help 90 minutes before disappearing, as they watched helplessly from the beach.

The two men haven't been found yet. [DailyMail]
