Actress Goldie Hawn is urging her daughter Kate Hudson to slow down her newfound romance with American baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
Goldie worries Kate, who has one failed marriage under her belt, could have her heart broken by Rodriguez, who is known as 'A-Rod'.
30-year-old Kate has previously dated actor Owen Wilson, and cyclist Lance Armstrong, and has been dating A-Rod for a month. She was introduced to the baseball star last November by Gwyneth Paltrow when he was still dating Madonna.
Apparently Kate fell for Rodriguez there and then, but the pair only started dating last month. Kate has even already introduced him to her five-year-old son Ryder.
"Goldie feels it's high time Kate settled down and left the dating scene behind for a while," a source says. "Kate's had a string of boyfriends since her divorce from Chris Robinson and it's always the same pattern - she falls hard and fast, then gets bored or has her heart broken, Goldie hates the idea of seeing Kate getting hurt again."
