If you look at VS models and feel envious when you see their tight, toned figures, you’re not the only one. Many women look at them and wish that they had the same long, lean limbs they had. While you can’t change your natural body type, you can sculpt your body to be the best it can be. VS models usually have a low body fat percentage and at least a little muscle mass, in order to give them that ‘toned’ appearance. They don’t have too much of it, like some competitors you might see, and they don’t have barely any like those catwalk models. This guide will help you to get the balance right!

Eat Plenty Of Natural Foods and Be Mindful

If you speak to just about any VS model, they’ll tell you that they eat plenty of natural foods. They’d never tell you not to eat ice cream or treat yourself though - they’d tell you to be ‘mindful’. This means having a scoop of ice cream on a lovely day, but refraining from eating a whole tub. Fill your diet full of colorful vegetables, and make sure you have balance.

Drink Lots of Water

Drink at least 2 litres of water a day. This will keep you hydrated and energized. It’ll also help your body to flush out excess fat and toxins, as well as fill you up a bit more before meals. Avoid drinking your calories, and sticking to things like water and green tea.

Get Active Wherever Possible

Get active wherever you can. This means if you can take stairs over an elevator, then do it. If you can park further away to get a few more steps in, do it. Over time, all of these things add up. They might not seem like a big deal from the get go, but they do make a difference.

Try HIIT Workouts

HIIT workouts are fast and effective ways of burning fat. You do them by working as hard as you can for around 30 seconds, before taking a 30-60 second rest and going again. You do this around 10 times, but you can alter it as you see fit to suit your fitness levels. This isn’t about calories burned. HIIT is great for burning fat long after you’ve finished, and it’s great for preserving muscle too!

Use Your Bodyweight and Weights

Bodyweight exercises and weights will help you to up your muscle mass and get that ‘toned’ look, so don’t be afraid of them. All VS models use weights in their workouts to sculpt their bodies! If you don’t know where to start, my bikini body guide review can help you.

Track Your Progress

Track your progress to stay motivated and see how far you’ve come. Take pictures and measurements. You can weigh yourself too, but never get too caught up in it. Weight fluctuates daily, even hourly!

Don’t Give Up!

Keep going. VS models might look effortlessly slim, but they need to work hard at it and so do you. Keep going, even when the results might not be coming as easily as they did at the start. This should be a routine you stick with for life!
