It’s super easy to get stuck in the daily flow of life. You can quickly end up in a job you resent, and a find yourself in a loveless relationship. The real trick is snapping out of this reality, and making a big change. It’s a struggle that many millennials face, yet the answer isn’t easy. It’s time to make a decision. Decide what you want from your life, and take it! It’s empowering and confidence-boosting. Making this choice will bring you happiness and direction. After all, you’ve got to be the leading actor in your own life, right? So, how do you make that happen?
Make real choices and decisions
If you let life take you on its journey, then it’s unlikely you’ll achieve the things you really want. My recommendation? Grab life by the horns, and make some real decisions. If you’ve always wanted to live in New York, pack up and move to New York. If you have your heart set on a particular career, make a change in your life, and pursue it. No matter what you might think about fate or destiny, things don’t just happen in life. It’s up to you to make them happen. Make that choice, and find the courage to make a life-changing decision.
Once you’ve made the decision, setting goals is essential. Without goals, your dream is nothing more than a dream. Most of our grand plans are simply too wild or gregarious to reach naturally. If you’re going to reach them, you’ll have to break them down into bitesize chunks, and start moving towards it. What can you do every single day that will bring you closer to your dream reality? Set long-term and medium-term goals. Then, make a day-by-day plan.
Career and business
Millennials are ambitious and driven by nature. We want to rise to the top, and make a mark on our industry. If that sounds like you, then you’ve probably already got an idea in mind for your dream job. Like I said, the first step is making a choice. What career do you want? Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Work backwards from there, and figure out how to make that first step. How do you get your foot in the door?
The dating world isn’t getting any easier, and finding love seems tougher than ever. But, if you know you want a long-term relationship, and a loving family, you’ve got to find a partner. Again, it’s all about deciding what you want from your relationship, and going after it. If you’re interested in a lesbian relationship, use a dating website like Girls Looking For Girls. If you’re looking for a more casual relationship, use apps like Tinder or Grindr. As always, the first step is figuring out what you want, and making it happen.
Don’t let anyone stand in your way
Last of all, don’t let anyone get in the way of your dream. Life will throw up all sorts of roadblocks and barriers to stop you. It’s your job to leap over them. If you don’t fight for your dream and goals, no-one else will! The only persons stopping you is you!
If you leave home for an office each day, you’re going to need to take a lot of items with you; a laptop, files, lunch, phone and accessories, makeup, wallet, even a spare set of clothes if you’re heading out to a bar or the gym when you’re done. So, a roomy work bag is a necessity. That work bag doesn’t have to be a standard leather briefcase, though. You don’t have to be the same as everyone else – these gorgeous alternatives will give you a fashion edge, as well as being perfectly practical. Read more
If you’re a regular gym user, you won’t have failed to notice how most – if not all – of the other people working out around you are listening to music. You probably do it too. What is it about music, though that makes a work out so much more palatable? What does it do to our brains – and our bodies – to help us push through? Read more
When I watched Field of Dreams, the quote I left that movie with was "If you build it they will come." Once the baseball field was built, the ghosts found it. When the World Wide Web was new, that was fairly true. Since the mid-1990's, there has been tremendous and explosive growth in the web. Consider for a moment: there are an estimated 612 million websites in the world, but only 185 million websites are active according to TechLogon.com. Read more
