The First Lady Michelle Obama and the president wish to give America's children better access to the arts and encourage them to turn artistic talents into careers.

Michelle has one thing right though, emphasizing on colour: namely the very purple frock she wore to the opening of the newly renovated American wing of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

It's not that purple is a bad colour or anything, nor is the First Lady; but too much purple can cause sore eyes to innocent viewers. However, Michelle's heart is in the right place, despite her fashion sense: "The arts are not just a nice thing to have," she said. "They define who we are as a people."
