Germany World Cup 2010 goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has firmly rejected the overtures of Manchester United, annoucing his firm intention to stay at Schalke 04.

Neuer, 24, has enjoyed an impressive tournament after emerging as a late replacement for the injured Rene Adler, conceding just two goals as his nation have raced towards the semi-final stage.

This form has come on the back of another strong season for his Gelsenkirchen-based club, putting him on the transfer wishlist of some of the biggest teams in Europe.

Speaking to reporters at his nation's training base as he prepares for Wednesday's last four showdown with Spain, he rejected reports of an impending switch to Old Trafford.

"I am definitely staying in the Bundesliga," Neuer said.

"I have a contract at Schalke until 2012 and am not looking into any potential transfers at this stage."
