Infographic: History of Facebook’s Developer Platform

May 24 is the fifth anniversary of Facebook Platform. The project launched at the 2007 f8 conference to 70 app developers and fourteen months later, there was more than 30,000 apps on the platform.
Facebook introduced Connect at the 2008 conference, and it enabled third party websites to build social integration into their user experiences. Which later on went on to have companies like Zynga to introduce hit games like FarmVille and more and the emergence of the "like" button on external websites.
